We went on vacation last week to the Dominican Republic. The weather was perfect, everything about it was beautiful, and we had a great time. Although, if it were possible, I would have skipped the plane flight if I had a choice of getting there by car or train. I am not very fond of being cramped in an airplane with 200 people for 3 hours. Yea, I am a little claustrophobic, but I made it 🙂 Narrowing down which photos to post had to be one of the hardest things I have ever done. I chose 20 out of close to 500 photos to share. It was hard to say the least. 🙂
During our flight, we went over the Bahamas….the white sand was so pretty and was flowing making a really cool shape.
On our resort, there were flamingos, peacocks, and geckos (like on the “Geico” commercials) walking around. Tyler and Carter got to feed the flamingos and peacocks. Tyler loved to catch the geckos. On our resort, there were flamingos, peacocks, and geckos (like on the “Geico” commercials) walking around. Tyler and Carter got to feed the flamingos and peacocks. I am not sure what the name of it was, but it was really big and had large beans hanging from it.We swam in the pool (it was the longest pool in the DR!) everyday, all day.Carter got to ride on a pony on the beach with the kids Explorers Club.Another flamingo picture. I am not kidding you, I think I took about 50 flamingo pictures. They were so cool to me 🙂They had beds on the beach which was very relaxing and very cool. But, you know us, we never sit still. This was the only day that we actually used one! There was an ocean trampoline there which was only for “kids”. (Notice that my husband somehow managed to get on there too ;))
While Darrick and Tyler were jumping, Carter and I walked down the beach along the island. Cater found this big driftwood and decided to use it as his “fort”.
When Tyler got finished jumping on the trampoline, I wanted to get a picture of them both on Carter’s “fort”. Right when I went to take the picture, a big wave crashed right on top of them 🙂 Poor Carter decided he was going to hold his smile and look at the camera even though he was getting nailed by the wave. Tyler, on the other hand didn’t. 🙂
I think that Tyler & Carter drank about 10-15 virgin strawberry daqueris a day.
Yummy 🙂

That’s it! Have a great week!
